DOMEFEST 09 PUBLIC SHOWS: FRIDAY (9/25)

DomeFest 2009 includes showings for the general public of several works that will be discussed during the conference program. All public shows will be held at the NM Museum of Natural History and Science. Tickets run: $7 (General Public); $6 (Seniors and Museum Members); $4 (kids 3-12)

Co-produced by a group of leading European planetaria and ESA (the European Space Agency), Touching the Edge of the Universe is one of the most exciting and imaginative celebrations of science and discovery yet created for fulldome theaters.

Touching the Edge of the Universe tells the story of astronomy from the time of Galileo and his simple optical telescope to today’s sophisticated space astronomy missions, the show delivers a powerful message of scientific enlightenment and the spirit of human exploration, and helps the average citizen understand the mysteries of the universe’s origins.
